BOTANICAL REVERIE

Botanical Reverie is a forthcoming solo exhibition by Edinburgh-based contemporary artist Inês Hermione Mulford. Supported by a grant from the Society of Botanical Artists, the show merges detailed botanical studies with social anthropology to explore human connections to the natural world.
The exhibition is held at Custom House Gallery, with guest speakers on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May.

BEAUTIFUL BIZARRE ART PRIZE DRAWING AWARD

The Victoria Olt Gallery Drawing Award is a major category of the annual Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize. The 2025 winners are  showcased in an exhibition at the Victoria Olt Gallery in Tallinn, Estonia, running from 8 January to 1 March 2026.

THE HARVEST/LAMMAS

The Harvest / Lammas exhibition was an inaugural collaboration between the Art and Nature Collective and 
Foursticks Gallery
 in Falkland, Fife. It featured 17 Scotland-based artists presenting their creative interpretations of the first harvest and the transition between summer and autumn.

AUTUMN TREASURES

The third exhibition for the Art and Nature Collective Community Interest Company.
Exhibiting works created by 22 members of the Collective, Autumn Treasures will be a rich tapestry inspired by Autumn. Each artist contributes their own voice and style to this unique collection of works inspired by the brief of creating small-scale works (20x20 cm) inspired by objects or scenes from autumnal walks.

The Body Voyager 

Surgeons Hall Museum

Opening September 11th 2021. 

The Body Voyager exhibition is a new permanent wing of the Surgeon's Hall Museum, Edinburgh. 

I underwent a residency with the museum as Project Artist, to produce original paintings exploring the surgeon, patient, robot relationship within robotic surgery for exhibition.

HOLT festival 

In it's 13th year, the Holt Festival returns to Holt with the John Hurt Art Prize and Sworders prize celebrating the arts. 

'Dwindling' was exhibited alongside a variety of other works.

Future Folklore: The Art and Craft of Storytelling is a major 2026 Visual Arts Scotland exhibition at Maclaurin Art Gallery  showcasing over 300 works. It explores how Scottish myths evolve through ceramics, textiles, and digital media, merging ancient selkie/fairy tales with themes of climate change, migration, and technology.

The paintings displayed at my final degree show for my undergraduate were shortlisted for the 'British Artists' Futures' exhibit, where the top 25 graduates were selected from across the United Kingdom and displayed at the Mall Galleries in London. 
 
I was awarded the Jackson’s ‘One to Watch’ prize, a public vote following Federation of British Artists’ Futures exhibit at the Mall Galleries.

Hatch Exhibition

The first exhibition of my surgical work where I exhibited four paintings on each side of a plinth. To engage the viewer in the experience of surgery, the photos were installed at 1m30, so people had to crouch to the level that the Surgery took place to see them. 
 
This aimed to bridge the gap between painting and installation art, as viewers had to move to gain full comprehension of what was being shown.

Common Ground: The Living Landscape is a Visual Arts Scotland exhibition running at Kirkcudbright Galleries. It features diverse artists exploring the connection between art and nature, focusing on Scotland’s environment, sustainability, and the intersection of materiality and spirit. 3 EDINBURGH GIRLS

"3 Edinburgh Girls" was a group art exhibition presented by the gallery Refusés in London. 
The show featured the work of three emerging artists who all studied at the Edinburgh College of Art. 
The exhibition was held at 30 Tottenham St, London and aimed to highlight the diverse range of contemporary painting coming out of the ECA alumni network

A BOOK OF DREAMS

The "A Book of Dreams" exhibition by Edinburgh art collective A New Primer runs from August 15th to August 30th, 2025, at the St Margaret's House (Palette) 3rd floor gallery in Edinburgh. This third annual festival exhibition features over 80 established and emerging artists working in various media, including painting, sculpture, and textile.

MACRO-LANDSCAPES

Unlike traditional landscapes, which depict expansive views of natural scenes, Macro-Landscapes focuses on the intricate textures, patterns, and structures of bryophytes and lichens. Bryophytes and

Lichens Trail

The trail has been created by Scotland-Based artist Inês-Hermione Mulford, in partnership with Dundee Botanic Gardens and advised by expert bryologists and lichenologists. The goal of the trail is to raise awareness of this often overlooked, yet naturally occurring micro-world through art.

The Astaire Art Exhibition, founded by Mark Astaire, a former University of Edinburgh graduate, provides artists at the ECA to showcase their work.
 
My piece ‘Steady Hands’ was exhibited and won the ‘Runner Up’ Astaire award.
