This ongoing body of work is a combination of personal and commissioned pieces exploring the relationship between art and surgery.

Having worked closely with surgeons since 2015, this series highlights the complexity of the surgical artform, both in the theatre and on canvas.
 
I have just completed a residency with the Surgeon's Hall Museum, in partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the creation paintings which draw on my experience both in art and anthropology. Focusing on the use of the Da Vinci Robot, the pieces explore the patient, surgeon, robot relationship within this form of pioneering surgery. 

These paintings will be part of the new permanent exhibit ‘Body Voyager’ opening in September 11th 2021.
